Day One–3 Day Quote Challenge

adjust my sales

I can’t change the direction of the wind,
but I can adjust my sails to always
reach my destination.

~ Jimmy Dean

This is my Day 1 quote for the Three Day Quote Challenge for which amanpan nominated me ( Thank you.

I’m grateful to be included in this challenge and got today’s inspiration from

3 day quote challengeI’ll list the rules and the 3 bloggers I have selected for the challenge below.

Today’s quote reminds me that we can not control the changes that come our way, those winds that make us feel tossed about in the sea of chaos. It is those times when I feel most vulnerable and exposed, not certain how to proceed nor how to stay on course. In fact, some changes challenge me to question my intended destination. Do I really want to go there? Should I give up the trip?

But it is in the midst of this confusion that I have the opportunity to adjust my ‘sails’, reconsider my path to get to the goal. Is there another way, a different course, that will lead me to my target?

No path goes in a straight line. It is our ability to navigate the curves, the bends, the hills, the valleys, the jigs and the jags in our lives that determine if we make it. We may be bruised, exhausted, battered, soaked, when we see the shore, but we also will be exhilarated over our accomplishments, pleased with our endurance and our determination as we shout We Made It!

Every challenge has at least one rule –

The Rules are:

  1.     Post three consecutive days.
  2.     You can pick one or three quotes per day.
  3.     Challenge three different bloggers per day
And my three bloggers are:
Of course, the bloggers are not required to take up the challenge, but I hope they will because I find their blogs interesting and I think the quotes they select will be fascinating.
Enjoy and happy blogging!
