Okay, I’m hooked. I am having more fun watching the fledgings as they have grown over the past 2 weeks. It’s like they grow an inch an hour. Amazing.
I’ve taken pictures every day from the day the nest was built of mud and whatever, to today when the first birdlet flew from the nest in desperation to get away from my camera.
Below are photos of various stages of their development…enjoy!
(Please understand most were taken through a window because they would hide if I climbed my ladder to get better shots. But you will get the idea about their activities–eating and sleeping.)

I’m a convert…these swallows can return anytime they want, mess and all.
Glad you’re enjoying them. Soon, they’ll be doing aerial aerobatics in unison in the yard.

it’s wonderful watching those baby birds hatch and then eventually go soaring and swooping over the yard, cheeping and laughing and having fun. I’m so glad to know you’re enjoying them.
