This is a picture I took inside the Biblioteca in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I was surprised and delighted to see the 3 dimensional painting in the library. I come from a country that has let it’s public libraries run into decline to a country that celebrates the Library. That picture is a gem and a reminder that libraries are to be treasured and cherished – I’m delighted this place in Mexico gets it. 📚

It is a remarkable library. Ex-Pat Americans and Canadians (along with many folks from other countries) support this library financially and with many hours of volunteer time, and they donate the money to scholarships for Mexican children. It is a busy place, where you can see movies, hear great speakers on multiple subjects and take house tours. Really an unusual place.
