I’m participating in Mundane Monday Photo Challenge which urges us to focus on ordinary things around us, and take interesting photographs of those everyday things. As I was walking the streets of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, I took this shot of a stool and a chair in the street, vacant, seemingly waiting until evening when the air cools, and the sun sets for the regular occupants to return.
I started with the larger scene, then began to isolate various elements to focus on the details of the drain, the chair and the stool. Each tells its own story. Enjoy more Mundane Monday pictures at https://trablogger.com/mundane-monday-challenge-136-learn-photography/.

Thank you. The Mundane Monday challenge is helping me be a bit braver about playing with my pictures to see how I can change them just by editing.

Not mundane at all. I love these photos. Subtle and their own way colorful at the same time. Great storytelling too!

Thanks Mary. I found the setting and the chair and stool in the street interesting and a bit strange. But obviously (at least to me) they were used and kept there.

My mundane Monday photo would be the pile of ironing in the corner…
