Growing Up Fast–WDP Growth

Growth is the WordPress Daily Post prompt and I decided to feature a group of photos I took in June. The series began when I noticed a bird nest near my back door with a parent feeding a new baby on June 7. The final picture was taken just before the first baby took off on its flight into life on June 22. How quickly they grow up.

(Admittedly many of the pictures aren’t great, but I hope you are able to see how the number of babies increased, and they grew from infants to young teenagers).

  1. This set is enchanting! I had swallows at my last place in England … they nested right above the French Windows out to the back garden – the patio was covered in white blotches for many weeks and the windows streaked but we were delighted. This is a wonderful reminder of that time and your pictures are just exquisite.
