She is doing well now, and plans to visit me in Mexico in June. That is very good news. She’s a fighter.

What a leveling shot and thought. I am glad to see from your comment, above, that she is doing so well. Being a fighter is critical to our ability to recover, I am certain.

I’m a believer that all of us, if we live long enough, face challenges and traumas that require determination and assistance. It is in those instances when we learn to accept help and give help.
