Children in the Easter Pageantry

The Easter celebration in San Miguel continued throughout the week with parades, altars, and statues. I thought I would share some photos of the children who often led the parades scattering flowers ahead of statues of the Virgin Mother Mary and Jesus.

  1. How delightful these children are! Especially the little one wit yellow flowers forming “sort of” crowns in her hair and purple ribbons around her waist and on her basket. Or maybe the crowns were halos?!!
Great photos! Hope you had a lovely Easter!

    1. Hey Karey, great to hear from you. These youngsters were absolutely darling. Hope your Easter was peaceful and pleasant. Jack’s daughter and her husband were here for four + days and left this a.m. We had a nice time, I think Darci is now more comfortable with me being in Mexico, after visiting San Miguel and roaming the streets. It is a beautiful city, with warm people and lively colors. Hope to get into my condo in 6-8 weeks, so I’m looking forward to that. Take care…mj
