Street repair is an ongoing job for workers in San Miguel, and most all of it is done by hand. Usually concrete is made by hand, but on these multiple block water line replacement projects I noticed the use of a small concrete mixer. But other phases are all hard labor. From digging up the old road, laying the pipe, filling back the hold, tapping down the soil and finally laying new stones in placek, these hard working folks use their arms, backs and legs. Tough work it seems to me.
