San Miguel de Allende, Mexico is a tourist hotspot for both Mexicans and foreigners. But in these days of social distancing solitude can be found in the usual gathering place for hundreds on any given day.
Here are some pictures taken this week around the near empty Parroquia and central plaza. No music, no crowds, no vendors, no laughter, no noise. Also a couple of shots at the deserted dog park and a small neighborhood park.
It was eerie indeed.
Bustling on a Saturday morning it is not!
What a lovely area. The iron benches are really something to behold. Stay safe!

Thanks. Spooky in its quietness.

Beautiful pictures but rather surreal when you know what those spaces normally look like, that they are usually teaming with locals and visitors, vibrant and colorful. I hope that it soon returns to the way things were. Take good care Margo. Abrazos.

It’s so quiet here. No children laughing, no bands serenading, no dogs barking. Weird, to say the least. Hope you folks are doing well.. stay safe. Mj
