My contribution to the Weekly Prompt. Check out more at https://weeklyprompts.com/2021/03/27/weekly-prompts-weekend-challenge-frightful/ Frightful! Some days a look in the mirror at 6 a.m. Is the most frightful thing I can tolerate. Hair sticking out. Mouth dry and smelly. Wrinkles exposed. Eyelids heavy. A perfect picture of reality staring right at me. But wait, it’s not me… Continue reading Frightful

Wisdom has been an elusive destination for me. In my youthful ignorance, I assumed I would be wise when I reached 30. When I was 20 I knew I didn’t know a lot, but by the time I reached the elderly age of 30 I would know what wise people knew. That birthday dawned, and… Continue reading Finding Wisdom

I just thought how fortunate I was to finally receive this life saving serum. And as I sat contentedly, a friend mourned… Continue reading Life and Death
You were my first sexual partner. But not my last. You were my first husband. But not my last. You were my first divorce. But not my last. You were my first failure. But not my last. You weren’t the first to die, I guess firsts aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.
Here’s more street art found along streets and alleys in San Miguel de Allende. The creativity of these artists always delights me.
For many years I didn’t believe I would ever retire. It was not a money issue, but a matter of desire. I loved working, and couldn’t imagine I wouldn’t want to work forever…or for as long as my health held out. I was fearful of retirement, not sure what I would do, afraid I’d lose… Continue reading A Time to Retire
