This giant flower blooming from a cactus crawling up a wall on a 2 story house caught my eye. i think the yellow and green of the plant against the orange background made it look like a painting. See more flower pictures at https://traveltalk.me.uk/2021/10/31/life-in-colour-89/. Since this is the last day of October and Travel Talks’… Continue reading The End of October’s Oranges
Nothing says Under the Sun like cactus, so my contributions to Share and Connect’s challenge this week of Under the Sun, is to feature I’ve taken of cactus over the past few years in San Miguel de Allende or other places. See more at https://shareandconnect.wordpress.com/2020/08/08/under-the-sun/.
Fascinating what one finds on the back side of a cactus! Or is this the front side? Whichever, I love the different designs found on these succulents and each one brought a smile to my lips. https://trentsworldblog.wordpress.com/2020/06/29/the-weekly-smile-recap-for-6-22-6-28-2020/
The mouse and his loved one broke social distancing rules when they met in the garden and sneaked a kiss, sans mask. That’s what this looks like to me…what do you think? In this uncropped version it appears he has swept his lover off her feet!
During a recent visit to the deserted dog park some blooms caught my eye, so I’m sharing them as my Flower of the Day Photo Challenge contribution found at Cee’s blog https://ceenphotography.com/2020/05/16/fotd-may-17-dahlia/. Since they were among the cactus garden, I thought these were of the succulent family, but obviously I am mistaken. Whatever family they represent,… Continue reading FOTD Succulents and ???
The cacti and the antique wagon wheels seemed to go together in this setting in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. See more flower pictures at https://ceenphotography.com/2019/10/26/fotd-october-27-2019-dahlia/
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is all about gardens, and my contributions include gardens in Ireland and San Miguel. Hope you enjoy the various scenes as much as I did while visiting and living both places. Enjoy more garden pictures at https://ceenphotography.com/2019/08/06/cees-fun-foto-challenge-gardens-2/
This week’s prompt is a photo of something unexpected. Here are my contributions to Nancy Merrill’s Photo A Week Challenge. https://nadiamerrillphotography.wordpress.com/2019/07/25/a-photo-a-week-challenge-unexpected/ A stairway to where? That is the question. I noticed this small bloom on a beat up, battered, and old cactus. It was unexpected to see new life on what appeared to be a dying plant.
I have not a clue as to what kind of cactus this is, but I loved the red and yellow/green ‘blooms to be’ in it’s center. See more flower of the day selections at https://ceenphotography.com/2019/04/01/fotd-april-2-2019-magnolia-tree/
