I know Lillies are the flower of the day for Easter, but I found this beautiful pink rose (or, I think it is a rose) and it reminded me of an Easter dress I had one year in long ago times.

In preparation for Easter, San Miguel dons a mantel of both artificial and real flowers. Streets are decorated and adorned with paper mahchia and silk flowers marking pathways Christ will travel to central churches in town. The Easter celebration in San Miguel continued throughout the week with parades, altars, and statues. I thought I would share some photos of the children who often led the parades scattering flowers ahead of statues of the Virgin Mother Mary and Jesus.
