Hello from ‘that little voice’, coming to you from wherever this 74 year old woman happens to be on any given day.
A bit of my background (in case you want to know, if not, skip to another paragraph): Humor and fun best describe my interests, thus my writings are about funny things that have happened to me or others. A bit of my quirky insight is sprinkled throughout my posts giving my inner child a sand pile in which to build castles, and on rainy days make mud pies. Some of those insights are from my two doglets, who seem to look at my life at a different slant.
During my 70+ years I have had careers in newspaper publishing, writing, banking, sales and chamber of commerce work. Most of those careers were well suited to my personality, but admittedly, I may not have excelled in a couple of them. Those will go unnamed to protect the people who hired me.
Today I’m retired, taking to the highways of the world to see what other people are seeing. I volunteer in my small, rural community in central Texas, and am treated to the idiosyncrasies of those strange folks who are my friends and neighbors.
My blog allows me to open the door to those thoughts that have been carefully nurtured and fertilized but have never seen the light of day. They are screaming to be let out, and although I want to silence ‘that little voice’, it just keeps getting louder and I can no longer ignore it.
So welcome to ‘that little voice’ in all of its persistent joy.
i love your story and can identify, as my path has led me to many adventures/misadventures in life. I’m in my late 50s now, and hope to be like you when i grow up .) thanks for reading and following my posts and i look forward to doing the same with yours. best, beth

Thanks for your kind words, and for following my blog. I do plan to post on Senior Salon, just not certain how exactly to do that. I signed up on Inlink…or whatever, but not certain what else I’m to do. Also, I know I read a post today and I thought it was on your blog about names, and I can’t seem to find it. Want to write about my ‘real’ name and want to direct people to that post…where oh where was I?
